چکیده

We present a framework for bilateral negotiation between agents in a resource re-allocation setting. We adopt an agent model that, although simple in the interactions permitted, is fully generative and allows for information-seeking to accompany the negotiation. Each agent begins with beliefs as to which resources it has and desires for resources that it would like to have. We define the rules of the dialogues specifying the permissible messages, turn-taking and the order in which messages can be sent. The participants of the dialogues (i.e. the agents) adopt internal policies that enable them to conform to the dialogue rules whilst pursuing their individual desires. We also outline a number of properties

Cross-Cultural Time Sensitivity in a Bilateral E-Negotiation System

For a long time, culture has been an influencing parameter in negotiations. Growth of international trades and business competitions has increased the importance of negotiations among countries and different cultures. Developing new technologies, particularly the use of artificial intelligence in electronic trading areas, has provided us with the application of intelligent agents to resolve cha...

Improving Agent Performance for Multi-Resource Negotiation Using Learning Automata and Case-Based Reasoning

In electronic commerce markets, agents often should acquire multiple resources to fulfil a high-level task. In order to attain such resources they need to compete with each other. In multi-agent environments, in which competition is involved, negotiation would be an interaction between agents in order to reach an agreement on resource allocation and to be coordinated with each other. In recent ...

Agent-based bilateral multi-issue negotiation scheme for e-market transactions

Software agents are flexible, autonomous, and dynamic computational entities. For electronicmarket (emarket) applications, the wide variety of choices to the consumers has introduced the problem of information searching. Meanwhile, there are also so many issues for the participants that require negotiations to find the best deal. In this paper, we present a bilateral multi-issue negotiation sch...

An Adaptive Bilateral Negotiation Model Based on Bayesian Learning

Endowing the negotiation agent with a learning ability such that a more beneficial agreement might be obtained is increasingly gaining emphasis in agent negotiation. In this paper, we present a novel bilateral negotiation model based on Bayesian learning to enable self-interested agents to adapt negotiation strategies dynamically during the negotiation process. Specifically, we assume that two ...

Abridgement of HANA: a Human-Aware Negotiation Architecture

HANA is an agent architecture suitable for multiple bilateral negotiations in realistic problems involving humans. The architecture deals with prenegotiation and provides a new search and negotiation technique where search and negotiation go hand in hand: the former providing offers to propose, and the later providing commitments for pruning the search space, and information for fine-tuning the...
